Fred Nell June 8, 1950 - February 23, 2020 Arthur ‘Fred’ Nell passed away February 23, 2020 at the age of 69. He was the loving husband of Janice for 40 years; devoted father of Katie (Brad Suchan); dear brother of Priscilla ‘Sally’ (Jim) Martens; and cherished son of Marion and the late Arthur Nell. Arthur Frederick was born on June 8, 1950 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Marion and Arthur Nell. He grew up in Milwaukee and attended college before moving to Michigan for employment opportunities. Fred met Janice Bennett while he was a patient of hers at the hospital she worked at. The two fell in love and were married in 1978. They enjoyed their newlywed years and were blessed in 1993 with their daughter, Katie. Fred worked as the principal of Huron Valley Lutheran High School and later started a CPA business with a partner before venturing out on his own. He loved to watch his daughter play sports and kept score for her Huron Valley Lutheran sports team. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling but his family was his greatest joy. Fred’s kindness will be missed by his beloved family and friends. Fred’s family will receive friends Friday, February 28th, at 10 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 35320 Glenwood Rd., Westland. Interment at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park, Livonia to follow. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in his name.
